Rajiv Mehta has focused his career on the development and market entry of disruptive products and technologies, often but not exclusively in imaging. He has led the development of two ground-breaking digital imaging products: Apple’s QuickTake 100 digital camera (1994) and Adobe’s Photoshop Album photo management application (2003), as well as several other imaging hardware and software products. In either executive or consulting roles, he has led imaging efforts at Adobe Systems, Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard, Interval Research, Kleiner Perkins, Regis McKenna, and Sony. He has presented on digital imaging topics at various industry events, including PMA and MacWorld.
Mr. Mehta has also led, or provided strategy consulting to, start-ups with innovative technologies in a variety of areas: stereo-vision systems, natural language processing technologies, wireless technologies, transaction processing systems, and media/content access and control systems. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mehta conducted basic research at NASA’s Ames Research Center.
He holds an MBA from Columbia University, an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
