About the Author:

Myron J. Kassaraba has been a pioneer of bringing to market new products and technologies in the digital imaging and online services markets. He co-founded Applied Videotex Systems in 1983, a videotext software company that also operated Boston CitiNet, the first advertiser supported consumer online service. Since 1987, he has been a driver of desktop digital imaging starting with color scanners and prepress systems at Howtek, to visual enhancement graphics chips at Edsun Labs.

In his seven years at Kodak, he developed the KCMS licensing business, co-founded the International Color Consortium, secured and managed the strategic alliance with Microsoft resulting in PictureIt and the Kodak Image Magic Print Service as well as the FlashPix format, started and built Kodak’s Developer Relations Group and ran Corporate Strategic Alliances. More recently at Trellix, Myron drove the move to develop a browser-based web publishing platform through a strategic partnership with Lycos. He then licensed Trellix’s ASP platform and software to major portals and community sites including Bolt.com, CNET, InfoSpace, iVillage, Lycos and ZDNet.

He is now the principal of MJK Partners and provides strategy and business development consulting and advisory services to companies in the digital imaging and web publishing markets.
